Khary Mason is a multidisciplinary artist, educator, and former Detroit Homicide Detective now working in the Conviction Integrity space.

He co-founded Capturing Belief, a Detroit-based nonprofit that uses photography and writing to help youth explore identity, creativity, and self-expression. A Documenting Detroit and Salzburg Global Fellow, Khary’s work is rooted in healing, mentorship, and the belief that storytelling, community, and nature can create spaces of true freedom.
